So, I finally got around to doing my first YouTube Vlog. Recorded with just my iPhone so the quality isn't perfect, but it's convenient, and makes the vlogging process pretty painless.
If you read my last blog post, "Haunted by Giants" then you know I had a somewhat weird experience the middle of the night, out in Joshua Tree National Park. I'm pretty certain still I saw something, unless my eyes were just playing tricks on me. What that something was I am still not for certain. It was just something that moved in the night, and drew my attention.
After posting the blog post in the PhotoJunkie Facebook group, one of our members, and fellow Photographer, Kristen Urlacher informed me of a place, her, and her husband had been to called Giant Rock.
She said it was kinda of an eerie place even visiting during the day, so I knew I had to go check it out for my Moonscape series I am working on. So, after the experience I had the night before. I decided to document my journey this time.
I think most people look at my Moonscape photos, and don't realise, or understand since they are so bright, and blue, that I am taking these photos in the middle of the night, just using the full moon as my light source.
Anyway, here is my journey to the historical Giant Rock.
Be sure to check back next week, when I venture back into Joshua Tree Park, back to the same rocks I thought I saw something spooky. Also, will be venturing into the park, and hiking two miles into the supposedly haunted Lost Horse Mine.
NOTE:
Giant Rock, is the largest free standing boulder in the world. It was considered sacred ground by the Native Americans who lived in the area.
It is also supposedly a hot bed for UFO activity. CHECK OUT THIS STORY BY CLICKING HERE
Giant Rock, like the Bermuda Triangle, and the Ancient Egyptian Pyramids, sits on the 33rd Parallel
I hope you enjoy this vlog, if you know anymore deserted spooky places, or scenic places around SoCal, that I can visit in the middle of the night for my Moonscape Series. Please let me know!!
