The Story of Breonna Taylor and what the New York Times use to be as far a journalism.
I haven't made a post on this blog, or updated it since November 2017.
These days as most anyone who follows me know's I'm way more concentrated on my Podcast on YouTube, "American Nomad" as most know I am a avid Trump Supporter and denouce the chaos and narrative pushed on us from the Leftist Media. I awoke about 3am this morning after taking the day off on Tuesday and resting all day to stumble across an article on the New York Times about the actual events that led to the death of Breonna Taylor. I was actually taken aback by the article and the journalism integrigty the author "Rukmini Callimachi" put into this article. It's a long read, but well worth the time spent.
This article is a flash back to what the New York Times use to be, it lays out all the reality of the events that led up to Breonna's death, from her long term romantic envolvement with a well known to police avid drug dealer that had done a prison stint in his home state of Mississippi to his many arrest by Louisville PD and an ongoing drug investigation by their department. No case from George Floyd to Jacob Blake, two criminals with a long criminal past, but Breonna Taylor, Breonna is different. This is a young woman shot to death by police in her own home!
I have to admit with all the chaos and the hostlity towards police today, I too have jumped on the defend the Police bandwagon, and it took this article and a youtube video I saw in 2018 to stir and bring back how angry I was at a group of racist ass cops that pulled an 18yr old kid over and treated him like an everyday criminal. Here's the video..I'll let you judge it for yourself, but I can tell you 100% in my opinion this kid was pulled over for no other reaon that being black, and the cops all but admit it and still treat the kid and his mother like they are the problem.
Do, I support the majority of police? Yes, in fact I do, but we do need some police reform in this country, we also need to either completely end our war on drugs, or do a hard revamp, so, these kind of civil liberties violations, like the kid being pulled over and illegally searched end.
End the drug war and Breonna Taylor is still alive today.
Here is the article from the New York Times that to my understanding will also be a documentary that I am very much looking forward to seeing. Last but not least I want to thank the Author, Rukmini Callimachi for her outstanding article and the New York Times for actually publishing it. I encourage everyone to read it. This will be the main topic on the American Nomad Podcast today, Wednesday, September 9. 2020
